Questions and answers

Everything you need to know about Lexria.

We've organized the most common questions for both people filling out the intake and the law firms using it.

Why should I use Lexria?
Lexria is an intake system for lawyers that leverages modern design and best-in-class tools to provide the best bankruptcy intake experience for your clients, while eliminating the time your office spends on intake. Lexria will allow you to eliminate hours hand-holding your clients through the intake process; to streamline your intake operations; and to remain confident that your clients are providing exactly what you need to help them file for bankruptcy.
What does Lexria do?
Lexria offers cloud-based software that methodically walks your bankruptcy clients through the lengthy data-gathering process, ensuring they are gathering and submitting exactly what you need to support them in their bankruptcy filing.
What is the benefit of Lexria?
Lexria saves your law office hours of time usually spent following up with your clients and requesting missing documentation or more information. Lexria leverages automated data gathering of prior income and financial account data, as well as automatically extracting data from the documents they do upload. Think: your clients no longer need to answer questions they've already answered on their key documentation (tax returns, paystubs, etc.). This means your clients spend less time gathering their information, leading to increased completion rates. In addition, Lexria maintains all client information in one place, provides a concise summary of all data, and makes it easy for you to offer intake services to all of your clients.

I'm not a lawyer
I think I need to file for bankruptcy but I don't yet have a lawyer. What should I do?
We are not a law firm, so unfortunately we can not help you find a lawyer or advise whether you should file for bankruptcy. We suggest doing a search for bankruptcy lawyers in your area, and reach out to them directly to set up time to discuss your situation.

My lawyer sent me the Lexria intake. How much time is it going to take me to fill it out?
We have designed Lexria to support and guide you through the intake process in a thoughtful, careful, and expeditious manner. We recommend taking your time, going section by section, rather than rushing through. In total, you might expect to take anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, as the information covers a lot of areas and that time estimate depends on a lot of factors.
